FIRST Team 494, "The Martians" was created in 2001 in Goodrich, Michigan by a small group of students building their "first" robot in a mentor's garage. It has grown to become part of the fabric of Goodrich High School and the Goodrich Community by providing inspiration and new opportunities to learn and participate in hands-on science and engineering activities while having a fun along the way. We are a veteran FIRST Robotics team with twelve years of experience and a history of successful alumni. Other FIRST Teams in Goodrich include our sister Team 70, More Martians, FIRST Lego League Team 10659, and 10663,and rookie FIRST Tech Challenge Team 5289. All of the FIRST Teams here at Goodrich look forward to another successful year of competition, learning, and fun!
