FRC Team 494

The Mission of our team is to learn, have fun, and make a positive impact on the future through our participation in ﷯. We are the Martians and our Rookie Season was 2001. Mentors Mr. Patrick Major and Mr. Jay TenBrink started our program in the year 2000 as their sons started in the FIRST Robotics Program. In the year 2006 we took in a team which was about to close down. This team (Team 70) came to us from Kettering University. Since then Team 70 has become a part of our family. For the last 10 years, we have built our robots together (thus, we call ourselves the “FRC Robot Twins”), but we compete separately in FIRST Events. All of us, along with the students from Team 70, attend Goodrich High School, so we refer to ourselves as belonging to the Goodrich Robotics Team. Let there be no mistaking one unique fact about our team ... since we are the original team, we are ... the Martians "There is no substitute for hard work." Thomas Edison

We wish to extend a special thank you to our Team Sponsors!
